The watch uses a titanium case with a diameter of 34.8 mm and a thickness of 5.85 mm. The dial is bright orange, the same color as the Hot Air Balloon 3 space capsule. The dial combines digital analog and pointer dual display. The numbers, scales and pointers on the dial are coated with Super-LumiNova® luminous coating, which can be clearly identified even in dim light. The pattern at 3 o'clock on the dial is the mission logo of Breitling Hot Air Balloon 3. The watch uses the new Breitling homemade B70 movement, which is a temperature-compensated SuperQuartz™ super quartz movement with pointer and digital dual display functions. It has been certified by the Swiss Official Observatory and is ten times more accurate than a standard quartz watch. The movement has a variety of functions, including a 1/100 second chronograph (with split timing and flyback functions), a countdown timer, a second time zone, dual alarms, a lap timer and a perpetual calendar.
